Senior Physio

I love to move. We are able to move in more ways, with more variety than any other organism on the planet. If we want to unlock this ability we need the processes and practices to learn how we move. Since I was a kid I have participated in more sports and activities than I can remember, each one accumulating in a broad base of knowledge. However, it wasn’t until after a decade or so of practicing physiotherapy that all the experience from childhood, through years of personal training, five years at university, and years of qualified work that it became distilled into a clarified vision. 

It’s the love of this knowledge and the will to share it that gets me out of bed in the morning. I have personally seen the life changing results in children from the work we do. Teaching kids the joy of learning how to move and educating parents how to do the same for their kids is my mission. I want to improve the physical ability of as many children as possible, as much as possible.

What that means for me is that I have to get out and educate parents. One hour per week in a one-on-one setting just isn’t going to cut it. The most gratifying part of my job is when a parent comes back in after one session and says that they have no idea why all of a sudden their child is seeking out climbing, swinging, running, monkey bars, and playing with their peers. From my perspective, that part is actually the easy part. That part is the most transferable. That is the part I want to teach parents, teachers, carers, and other allied health. This is the focus of the Mini-Movers project. I can’t get to everyone in a one-on-one setting, but I can teach you to make your one-on-one time more fun, active, dynamic and contagious. Senior Physio

I am a paediatric physiotherapist with over 10 years’ experience supporting children to move, play, and participate confidently in their everyday lives. I am deeply passionate about working not only with children, but also alongside their parents, support workers, teachers, and allied health professionals to create meaningful, practical, and sustainable outcomes.

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and centred on the individual child. I value empowering families and support networks with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to help children thrive across home, school, and community environments.

Alongside my paediatric practice, I bring over 20 years of experience as a physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach, yoga instructor, and Pilates instructor. This broad background allows me to integrate movement quality, strength, flexibility, emotional regulation and functional control into engaging and age-appropriate programs.

I have also worked with professional surfers, developing tailored exercise programs and rehabilitation plans to support performance and recovery. This experience has further shaped my ability to design creative, functional programs that translate across all ages and abilities.
